Automated Worldbuilding at Worlds Beyond Earth!

I just saw that over at Worlds Beyond Earth, Eric the Red has taken my system for creating fantasy worlds and done something awesome with it by plugging it into Javascript.  He’s done it really well, too – he’s managed to reproduce some of the ubtleties of the system (e.g. differences in Climate depending on latitude, the differences between heading upstream or downstream when extending Rivers – that sort of thing).  It’s really nice work!  There are still a couple of kinks to work out – it doesn’t quite reproduce the system entirely correctly as yet, and it doesn’t yet do Population Type – but, gee, it’s a great way to do things quickly and easily!

Now, if you’d prefer to put the dice aside and do things a more modern way, you can generate new Regions at the touch of a button!
