Once you’ve ditched the GM, you have a gaming group entirely made up of players. Help! Now the players need to step up and perform some of the social functions that a GM usually performs.
In our collaborative, GM-less games, we grant special powers to all the players, so as to make sure the GM’s usual functions are still being performed:
In Our GM-Less Game, All the Players Have the Following Four Special Powers:
- You can call for a Detail Round.
- You can declare that the group is Moving Right Along.
- You can declare that the group is Going Off the Rails.
- You can declare that you’re Raising the Stakes.
Some of these – particularly Detail Rounds., but also Moving Right Along – work well in traditional games with a GM, too.
