Two great RPG Kickstarters!

Monsters2
More monsters!  Raarrr!!

So, I’m currently at work on the next Temian adventure, which will use a new draft of my Town adventures system.  So stay tuned for that.

But in the meantime, I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to two great Kickstarters currently running (and ending soon).

DFRPG
Ooooooohhh yes!  Now THIS is the stuff.  A great boxed set, with a damned good game inside.

The first is for a book of monsters (Monsters 2), which you can get in hardcopy for just $20 – a good deal.  But to my mind the real star of this show is the wonderful Dungeon Fantasy RPG boxed set.  It’s an awesome boxed set, and it shows how fun and simple GURPS is in practice.  If you don’t have a copy (or if you have one, love it, and want to get one for a friend), then I’d encourage you to back the kickstarter now  – it’s ending soon!

The Citadel at Nordvorn.jpg
Raarrr again – Vikings!  (But also fantasy staples like dwarves, elves, treasure…)

The second kickstarter is The Citadel at Nordvorn, a new setting for the Dungeon Fantasy RPG.  It’s full of vikings, so bring your big round shields, longships, and mead (but they’re fantasy vikings, so you should probably go for that horned helmet, history be damned).

As I post this, The Citadel at Nordvorn has just reached its funding goal – now we’re shooting for stretch goals!  So that’s fun.  Douglas Cole has been running some really tight Kickstarters…

3d6.jpgAnyway, I don’t spruik a lot of Kickstarters on this blog, but these two are really close to my heart.  I’m sure they’re going to be great products, and I’m also sure that the success of these Kickstarters (assuming they both succeed!) will really do a lot of good for the future of GURPS.

In fact, if you want to support GURPS, then backing these is surely the best way to do it right now.   In a way, backing these is a kind of triple whammy, since it means you’re providing support for third-party GURPS producers like Douglas Cole, for the Dungeon Fantasy RPG, and of course for GURPS itself.   And surely supporting GURPS is what all the best and finest people long to do, right?  Right!
